Many of us dream of travelling to Italy and experiencing an authentic and, if possible, palatial sleepover. At AdAstra, you can stay in a historic Florentine palace still owned and lived in by a nobile Tuscany family.

The first floor of this 15th-century palazzo has been tastefully and creatively converted into 14 bedrooms by seasoned interiors and design team Betty Soldi and Matteo Perduca. Hot on the heels of their successful opening of SoprArno Suites nearby via Maggio, AdAstra also has a similar eclectic feel with characterful rooms all individually designed to a theme, the rooms a mix of up-cycled furniture and finished off with high-end fittings – from double showers to dreamy beds, in-room bathtubs and linen so crisp you may not make it out of bed in time for breakfast.

As this is a bed and breakfast (the latter served from a light-drenched living room with an open kitchen, complete with a fresco ceiling), there is no restaurant or room service. However, as AdAstra is based in hip Oltrarno, you are surrounded by a collection of delectable food choices and bars, too. Plus, it′s walking distance to Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti, and the ever-burgeoning Piazza Santo Spirito. Its name translates as ′to the stars, ′ and sleeping at AdAstra feels heavenly.
