72 Hours in Florence

Discover how to spend three days in the Renaissance capital in Italy.

As a travel writer I am often asked by magazines or online companies to provide a definitive guide for cities including my beloved Florence. Recently, travel giant Expedia approached me to compile a 72-hours in Florence guide to the Renaissance capital which is quite a hard task.

In a city full of antiquities, galleries, cafes and eateries, where does a traveller stop? The aim of this three-day guide is to showcase not just some of the incredible venues in the city but also to enjoy more of a feel, through themes, of Florence. Are you ready?

From Discovering the Medici, the infamous banking family who ruled the city for almost 300 years, to uncovering the many David statues beyond Michelangelo’s 16th-century masterpiece, plus locations for the avid foodie, this guide is jam-packed with locations to explore and eat your way around Florence.

Buon Viaggio!
